Our History

1995

In The Beginning

The Club was originally formed in the  1995/96 season and was known as HBC Derori, having a few junior teams.

1997

Reinvented

President, Steven Ellison renames the club HBC Softball Club.

2012

Own Entity

The club moved to become a standalone identity, changing our name to the Hibiscus Coast Softball Club (HBC Softball), a new logo, new constitution and became an Incorporated Society.

2014

Turquoise

Changed colours from grey/turquoise/black to black pants and turquoise blue tops. 

2019

The "H"

The iconic "H" makes its way onto our hats and visors

2020

New Blue

New uniforms, new blue, using the same logo

2023

Mens Club Nats

HBC men enter the Club Nats for the first time. Picking up the Top Batter Award.

2024

The Repeat!

HBC Reserve Women crowned champions - 2 years running.

2025

HBC Softball unveil its new Wave logo after a two-year journey of creativity and collaboration, symbolizing force, unity, resilience, and a strong connection to the club’s coastal roots.
